Here are some pictures that were sent to me by Rich. They were taken using his Go Go Gadget! binoculars.
That’s how you lose an arm.

Hot, nasty, bad ass speed.” –Eleanor Roosevelt – 1936
The second race of the Cumberland season was certainly a unique one. Saturday featured a wide open course where several of us in our “slow” cars (compared to the Vettes and Porsches that usually attend) were up over 90mph. Sunday was only slow by comparison.
Attendance was low, but that was mostly due to weather. The threat of rain was bad enough that I temporarily surrendered my permanent third heat number so I could run early. It turned out to be a wise choice, as I got to run in the dry both days (fourth heat on Saturday was actually canceled due to lightening – I was working the course and didn’t see it all behind me). The team was also down a member. Founding Grandfather, Bill, was “out of town” for the weekend. Patrick claims he was just scared.
Sunday was also my berfday, and I got a little present. Look at the post below and you’ll see my old Hyundai paid me a little visit.
If you’re not first, you’re last.
