Thursday, August 21st, 2008If 80° is sizzling, then we were.
I did learn one thing this past weekend, and because of this one thing, I’d like to announce that I will be, from this point forward, be racing a 1996 BMW 318ti Cobra.
The courses on both days this weekend were very similar and very fast. I need to get some more HP before I get lost in the fray. Mustang Boy came out the dominant PAX finisher, again. He started saying something about a “dif”, but no one cares anymore. 
Maybe we should institute a weight penalty for consistent PAX winners, since I’m not one anymore…
Mr. Geraghty’s QUOTE – B-stock – END QUOTE Porsche is getting closer and closer to Rob Robeson’s top times. Patrick proved that the best way to win your class is to only have to beat yourself. Rich needs to slash the tires on the Hotchkis Vette. Mustang Boy got beat up by a guy in a wagon (and I think there was a child seat in there). I proved the best way to win your class is to “help setup” your competition. And Thomas needs 4 more cylinders.
Speaking of the competition, non-Zip-Tier Kate put up her best showings to date. I may be biased, but I’m always surprised by what she can do with an automatic “F1-inspired flappy-paddle gear boxed” gas sipper.
Now, for the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Because no one really screamed bloody murder, I’m keeping the contested class bonus this time around. Since I’m the only one who won a class, nevermind. Also, no one coned Mustang Boy. I don’t know what you folks are waiting for, but he’s not getting slower.
